Individually, students synthesize interview evidence into a structured empathy map (Says, Thinks, Does, Feels) focused on how users experience water quality and pollution. Students explicitly connect user concerns to upcoming lab indicators (pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, phosphate) and briefly explain why learning proper water sampling is necessary for the AP exam and for designing credible solutions. Students exchange maps with one peer for quick feedback, then revise for clarity and specificity before submitting.
