🧲 Forces Investigation Method Lab

Content Expertise Critical Thinking & Problem Solving 3-PS2-1 3-PS2-3 Submission Required

Students analyze sample playground investigation questions (e.g., ramp height and marble distance; magnet distance and attraction strength) and decide whether each requires an experimental or observational approach. The teacher models how to identify independent, dependent, and controlled variables using a swing or ramp example. Students then complete a graphic organizer for their own research question, naming variables, materials (marbles, tubing, rulers, magnets), and why their chosen method fits the question.
