📝 Forces Research Question & Hypothesis

Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Collaboration Effective Communication Self Directed Learning 3-PS2-4 3-PS2-1 3-PS2-3 Submission Required Grading Required

Students review their wonderings and use a question scaffold to turn one idea into a focused, testable question (e.g., "How does ramp height affect how far a marble travels?" or "How does magnet distance affect paperclip movement?"). In pairs, students give feedback to two peers using a checklist (Is it testable? Does it name variables? Can we measure it in class?). Students revise and write a clear hypothesis with reasoning in their notebook. The lesson ends with a 5-minute written reflection: Why is a strong question important for our Ultimate Playground design?
