🌱 Water, Light & Variables Plan

Students use a large planning mat in their grower’s journal to draw and label: what they will change (water or light), what they will measure (height or leaf count), and what they will keep the same (pot type, soil, location). The teacher models identifying independent and dependent variables using real potato plants. Students list needed materials (cups, rulers, watering cans) and sketch a simple step-by-step procedure with numbers and arrows.
