🚴 Heart & Pedal Kickoff Ride

Students participate in a short supervised bike ride around school grounds. Immediately after, they measure their pulse for 15 seconds, multiply by 4 to find beats per minute, and record results in their design journals (with units). The class discusses how their heart and lungs felt during biking and is introduced to the essential question about health and community biking.
