🛠️ Richmond Rapid Prototype Build

Submission Required

Students individually construct a low-fidelity prototype of their proposed material solution (e.g., permeable pavement section, green roof module, reflective surface panel, bioswale insert) using cardboard, clay, sponges, mesh, foil, recycled plastics, or 3D-printed components. Prototypes must be scaled, labeled with at least 5 abiotic and 3 biotic factors, and annotated to explain albedo, permeability, evapotranspiration, and effects on local food webs or population stability. Students photograph Version 1 and complete the first section of an iteration log describing intended function and predicted impact on runoff and temperature.
