In pairs, students sort their wonderings into categories (observable, testable with class tools, too broad). Using a scaffolded template, they draft one focused investigable question related to predicting the Moon’s phase on a specific future date and write a hypothesis with rationale referencing phase cycle length (~29.5 days) or positional patterns.
