Collaboration

Students rotate through interactive stations featuring images of fanous lanterns, short excerpts about Ramadan celebrations, geometric pattern samples, and recorded quotes from community members about what light means to them. As a whole class, they identify initial assumptions about Arab lanterns and generate a list of questions they still have about how light functions in ceremonies.
