📝 Tectonic Investigation Design Plan

Individually, students complete a structured methodology template in their Field Notebook. The plan includes: research question, method type and rationale, step-by-step data collection procedure, variables or comparison categories (if applicable), materials list (maps, rulers, colored pencils), planned sample size/scope, and at least two quality control steps (e.g., double-checking labels, peer verification). Students explicitly explain how their method will generate evidence about past plate motion.
