🗺️ Source Mapping & Data Planning

Students examine available classroom datasets (printed fossil distribution maps, seafloor age maps, rock type charts, continental shape overlays). In pairs, they determine which specific sources they will use, what patterns they will look for, and how much data is sufficient (e.g., at least two continents, four boundary locations). They sketch a draft data table or annotation plan directly into their Field Notebook.
