They must incorporate labeled eras/periods, mechanics for at least one plate boundary, and cards modeling weathering, erosion, deposition, and a mass extinction event. Teams assign roles (rules editor, materials manager, science checker, timekeeper) and document design decisions in their iteration log, citing user quotes.
