🎨 Design Delve & User Lens Challenge

Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Academic Mindset Content Expertise

Students begin with a rapid mini-sculpture challenge using scrap paper strips (cut, bend, twist, layer) inspired by projected images of Charles McGee’s abstract forms and African/African-American art. After building, they shift perspective: instead of judging aesthetics, they ask, “What story do I think this tells?” to experience how viewers interpret abstraction differently. Class debrief surfaces assumptions about how art communicates culture.
