⚡ Energy Exploration Journey

Students rotate through 4 quick stations: (1) a dynamometer lifting weights (mechanical energy), (2) a watt meter measuring a lamp’s electrical use (kWh), (3) a thermometer tracking temperature change in warm vs. cool water (thermal energy), and (4) an electric bill sample highlighting kilowatt-hours. At each station, students record observations, units used (J, kWh, °C), and at least one “Why does this happen?” question in their Energy Measurement Investigation Notebook.
