Individually, students use a scaffolded empathy map template (Says, Thinks, Does, Feels) to synthesize interview notes. They highlight direct quotes and identify at least two needs or challenges related to environmental conditions and crop decisions. Students circle any assumptions they made that were challenged by the interview.
