Individually, students draft a focused comparative research question and a specific hypothesis predicting at least one similarity and one difference between their species. They include 2–3 sentences explaining why they expect this outcome based on initial background findings. Students also complete a short daily journal entry reflecting on how studying adaptations is shaping their understanding of survival strategies.
