Students present their Kindergarten Garden Habitat Model and My Plant Scientist Poster & Journal to family members and Bullitt County High School Agriculture partners. Each child gives a 2–3 minute explanation using their labeled drawings, need symbols (water, sunlight, air, soil), and journal observations. Visitors ask simple questions, and students respond using sentence frames practiced earlier.

4 Guide students to practice explaining their models using a buddy system. Partners provide friendly feedback. (5 min)
5 Encourage students to reflect on their plant journals and select key observations to share. (5 min)
6 Facilitate the presentation session where students explain their work to visiting family and partners. Provide support if needed. (5 min)

  • Arrange the classroom to create distinct presentation areas for each student with enough space for families and community partners to circulate.
  • Set up visual aids such as anchor charts with sentence frames for students to use during their presentations.
