# What teachers do
1 Gather students in a circle and introduce the 'Plant Adventure Walk' with excitement. Explain what they will observe and collect - leaves and flowers. (5 min)
2 Begin the walk on the school grounds. Encourage students to touch, look, and smell the plants as they explore. (10 min)
3 Model observation by showing how to look at plant leaves, soil, and sunlight exposure. Use picture icons for sun, water, and soil to guide observations. (5 min)
4 Have students share one observation about a plant they see and discuss what it might need to grow, whilst referring to picture icons. (5 min)
5 Collect plant samples together and discuss as a group which parts they think are important for the plant's survival. (5 min)
Preparation (3 items)
