Students will synthesize insights from community interviews and cultural workshops to define a clear, human-centered design challenge for their Community Cultural Mural and Carnival Station. They will analyze patterns in cultural storytelling, art, music, and drama, identify authentic community needs, and craft an actionable problem statement that will guide ideation and prototyping.

Ideate
Students will generate, expand, and refine diverse ideas for their cultural storytelling mini-books, mural panels, blog features, and Carnival stations by brainstorming, sketching, role-playing, and giving peer feedback grounded in empathy for real community users.

Prototype
Prototype
Students will build and refine testable versions of their cultural mural panels, digital mini-books, blog features, and carnival performance elements. Through hands-on prototyping, peer critique, and feedback from a local cultural partner, they will iterate on visual, dramatic, and musical components to ensure their work clearly communicates how cultural traditions enrich the community.

Test/Present
Students will test their mural panels, digital mini-books, and carnival performances with authentic users, revise based on feedback, publish final blog features, and present their work at The Cultural Connection Carnival, explaining how cultural traditions enrich their community.
