Deliverable
Civil Rights Concepts Sketches
Submission Required
Students brainstorm a wide range of presentation concepts for their chosen Civil Rights figure or event, focusing on quantity over quality to surface diverse approaches. They produce concept sketches or storyboards that outline how their ideas would unfold in a presentation format. They complete a feasibility/impact matrix to assess each idea against user needs (audience empathy), potential impact, required resources, and alignment with the historical scope up to 1963. Finally, each group identifies their top three concepts and records the rationale for prioritization, linking ideas to user benefits and learning goals.
