Charcoal Critique Exhibition

Submission Required Grading Required

Students present their charcoal booklets and final drawings to an authentic audience that includes peers, a local Indigenous artist or elder, and classroom teachers. They explain the cultural motifs and storytelling elements represented, describe the charcoal techniques used (textures, shading, light), and reflect on feedback from peer critiques and how it informed final refinements. Presentations should connect the artwork to themes of nature and cultural heritage, and invite audience questions to deepen understanding.
