Charcoal Art Showcase

Students present a final charcoal art collection and accompanying reflections to an authentic audience including peers, a local Indigenous guest artist or elder, and family members. They demonstrate charcoal techniques, discuss cultural motifs, and explain how their work connects to Indigenous storytelling traditions and to their own artistic choices and learning journey. The live presentation is evaluated with a rubric aligned to all dimensions of user understanding, problem definition, creative problem-solving, prototyping and iteration, and communication and presentation.
