Brainstorm Ecosystem Concepts

In small groups, students identify who will view their diagrams (such as park visitors or classmates) and create empathy artifacts to capture what that viewer would need to understand. They brainstorm 5–8 diagram concepts showing balance and imbalance in ecosystems, then draft quick concept sketches or storyboards. Each group builds a simple feasibility/impact matrix to compare concepts on how easy they are to understand and the potential impact on the viewer. From this, they select their Top 3 concepts and write a short rationale. Students test early ideas with a peer audience to gather feedback and iterate, refining their sketches and matrices into a deliverable pack for final review.
