Meet The Masked Cast

Students connect with real users affected by disguise in Shakespearean comedies: a theatre teacher, an actor, and a student audience member. Through a short interview protocol and a brief observation of a masked scene or rehearsal clip, students gather initial insights into how disguises shape social norms, gender roles, and class perception in both Elizabethan and contemporary settings. They document key themes as early empathy notes and prepare questions to deepen understanding in the next phase.
