Outline Trial Arguments

Submission Required Grading Required

In small groups, students construct an evidence-based argument outline for their mock trial side, developing a clear, arguable question about Truman's decision. They create a Claim-Evidence-Reasoning structure, build a logical flow diagram that links each piece of evidence to a claim, and map how sources support opening and closing statements. The group also evaluates source credibility and anticipates counterarguments, embedding a planned defense opportunity within the outline. Outputs include a formal outline, the flow diagram, and a evidence-to-claim connections map.
