Deliverable
Crucible Sources Portfolio
Submission Required
Grading Required
Each student builds a sources analysis portfolio focused on propaganda and communication across historical and modern contexts. They will collect at least eight sources from varied types (print articles, primary documents, video clips, posters, podcasts, digital artifacts) and evaluate each one for credibility using a CRAAP-style framework. For every source, students extract key evidence relevant to the essential question and map the perspective: who is speaking, their motive, and how this source seeks to influence audiences. The portfolio culminates in a perspective map that traces competing voices and demonstrates how source choices shape understanding of rhetoric and manipulation.
