Annotated Background Review

Students independently assemble an annotated bibliography with at least five credible sources related to water properties, erosion, and surface processes. They summarize each source and identify how the current understanding informs their investigation, including gaps or uncertainties that warrant further inquiry. The activity builds background knowledge and supports the development of evidence-based reasoning for subsequent design decisions.
