By the end, use your honed filming and editing skills to produce a polished zine-style documentary that effectively showcases the culture, history, and identity of the local music scene.

Launch

Begin your project by organizing a kick-off event at a key venue like che cafe with involvement from community partners such as local musicians and venue owners. During this event, showcase initial clips or sound snippets you plan to use in your documentary to introduce the San Diego punk scene's unique elements. Engage in a hands-on demonstration of filming equipment, providing opportunities to practice interview techniques with your peers, allowing you to build confidence and competence from the outset.

Exhibition

Organize a live documentary screening event at a local venue such as che cafe, inviting seniors, family members, teachers, and community members interested in the San Diego punk scene. Incorporate interactive elements, like a Q&A session with interviewees and creators to deepen audience engagement and understanding.
