During Day 1, pair up with a classmate to conduct authentic conversations with prospective animation viewers and a Southwestern College partner representative. Plan at least 2-3 short interviews (15-20 minutes each) and observe nonverbal cues. Record notes that reveal audience needs, preferences, and how the storytelling themes of perseverance and hope resonate. Debrief with your partner to surface three actionable insights to inform your script and approach.

Preparation (3 items)
- Arrange for a space where students can conduct interviews quietly.

- Coordinate with Miss Vallery to finalize schedules and availability of community partners from Southwestern College.
Student-facing instructions
Your task is to engage in meaningful interviews with potential viewers and a Southwestern College partner to gather insights about their preferences and how the themes of perseverance and hope resonate with them. You will work in pairs to develop questions, conduct these interviews, and then debrief with your partner to identify three key insights. The goal is to refine your script based on the feedback you collect. Make sure to take detailed notes during the interviews and remain empathetic and attentive during these conversations.
