Products

Throughout this project, you will create engaging and motivational TikTok videos that showcase insights from interviews conducted with hikers, street-goers, and athletes. As you collect and edit audio and video clips, focus on capturing genuine stories and sentiments that reflect people's drive and resilience. You will develop a portfolio of these multimedia products by critically reflecting and revising your work with feedback from peers, ensuring they resonate with and inspire viewers. By the end, you will present your compiled TikTok series titled "Hopecore TikToks" during an exhibition for your classmates and community partners.

Launch

Begin by brainstorming and crafting interview questions that explore individuals' motivations and perseverance. Set the stage with a group discussion on what drives people in their daily lives, inspiring curiosity and thoughtful inquiry. Share your excitement and intentions for the project, then practice conducting mock interviews with peers to refine your questioning and listening skills. Consider engaging in a relevant activity like a short hike or walk to physically connect with themes of endurance and goal-setting before starting your interviews.

Exhibition

Host a community event where you present your TikTok videos to an audience, sharing motivational quotes and interviews collected from people on journeys or in their jobs. Set up interactive stations where attendees can listen to recordings, reflect on their own sources of motivation, and contribute their ideas. Facilitate a gallery walk where you can view and provide feedback on each other's work, focusing on the impact of motivational storytelling. Invite community partners like interviewed athletes or hikers to speak, engage with the audience, and share their experiences and insights. Conclude with a group discussion to reflect on how these stories have influenced personal perspectives and goals.
