Students will explore and tackle the problem of food waste at their middle school by investigating different ways to reduce it and understanding possible challenges. This activity helps students see the problem of food waste up close and prepares them to create thoughtful solutions.

Students will share their waste reduction plans and findings during an exhibition featuring creative displays and presentations. As they prepare, they will use guiding questions like, "What is our main plan?" and "How can we make our school care about reducing waste?" Showcasing their ideas to the principal, food services director, and at the open house, they will aim to connect with everyone involved and inspire action.
