Products

Students will create personalized vision boards using a mix of recyclable materials, showcasing their individual goals and dreams. These boards will be displayed during a 'Gallery Walk,' where peers can provide feedback and suggestions. Additionally, students will craft functional or artistic items from collected recyclables, culminating in a class presentation to educate others on sustainability and waste reduction.

Launch

Begin the project by inviting students to explore a diverse array of vision boards from different cultures and communities around the world. Facilitate a discussion on how these boards reflect the environmental and cultural characteristics of their regions, linking them to population distribution. Encourage students to brainstorm and share their own dreams and goals, setting the stage for their personal vision board creation. This activity will ignite curiosity and establish a sense of place and identity, fostering a supportive classroom environment.

Exhibition

At the end of the project, host a community showcase where students present their vision boards alongside their recycling projects. Invite parents, teachers, and community members to engage with students as they explain their goals, dreams, and the sustainability message behind their creations. Encourage students to articulate how the environmental and cultural characteristics they explored influenced their projects, fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment.
