Products

Students will develop individual mixed-media art installations that incorporate elements from both traditional and contemporary art styles, allowing for personal expression and cultural exploration. These artworks will be exhibited in a class gallery, providing an opportunity for students to present their creative journeys and the cultural contexts that shaped their pieces.

Launch

Kick off the learning experience with a 'Collaborative Art Jam' where students individually create small art pieces inspired by traditional and contemporary art styles from various cultures. This hands-on activity will encourage personal exploration and creative expression while setting the stage for deeper engagement with the essential questions and project goals. Students will have the opportunity to discuss and select cultural elements that resonate with them, fostering a sense of identity and belonging from the outset.

Exhibition

Students will showcase their mixed-media art installations in a class gallery exhibition, inviting peers, teachers, and community members, including representatives from the Menifee Arts Council, to attend. Each student will present their artwork, explaining the cultural influences and creative processes involved. The exhibition will focus on individual art pieces, allowing students to highlight their unique interpretations and blend of traditional and contemporary styles.
