Purpose

Embark on a baking journey that challenges you to develop new skills, express your creativity, and cultivate a growth mindset. This project invites you to experiment with recipes, reflect on your progress, and share your experiences through a digital portfolio. By engaging in collaborative and self-directed learning, you'll enhance your problem-solving abilities and deepen your understanding of performance accuracy and expressiveness.

Learning goals

Explore the art of baking by experimenting with different ingredients and techniques to create unique recipes. Collaborate with peers to refine your baking skills and document your journey through a digital portfolio. Reflect on your growth in creativity, mindset, and persistence, setting personal goals for improvement. Develop a sense of identity and belonging by sharing your baking experiences and insights in a virtual showcase. Products

Throughout this project, create a digital portfolio showcasing your baking journey, including photos, videos, and written reflections. By the end, you'll have a comprehensive collection of your progress and creativity in baking. Conclude with a virtual baking show presentation of your favorite recipe, recorded and included in your portfolio, highlighting your growth in skills and mindset.

Launch

Begin your baking project with a "Mystery Ingredient Challenge" where you receive a surprise ingredient to incorporate into a simple recipe. Work in small groups to brainstorm creative ways to use the ingredient, encouraging collaboration and innovation. Document your initial thoughts and strategies in your digital portfolio, setting the stage for tracking your growth and creativity throughout the project.

Exhibition

Host a virtual baking showcase where you present your favorite recipe to classmates, family, and friends. Record your demonstration and include it in your digital portfolio, alongside reflections on your preparation process and performance. Facilitate a feedback session with your audience to gain insights and perspectives on your baking journey. Use this opportunity to celebrate your growth in skills, creativity, and mindset, and to articulate your personal performance goals for future culinary endeavors.
