Products

Students will create a weekly reflection journal connecting personal experiences with themes from Fahrenheit 451. They will develop a digital timeline showcasing their media consumption and analyze its impact on communication. In collaborative groups, students will design a 'future society' addressing issues from the novel, presented through visual art, written description, and oral presentation. Finally, they will participate in a 'Fahrenheit 451 Media Festival' to exhibit their projects and engage in discussions about media's role in communication.

Launch

Kick off the unit with a 'Digital Detox Workshop' where students engage in activities that promote face-to-face communication, such as team-building exercises and discussions. Follow this with a reflection session where students compare these interactions to their typical digital communications. This experience will set the stage for exploring the themes of Fahrenheit 451, as students begin to critically examine the role of technology and media in their own lives.

Exhibition

The 'Fahrenheit 451 Media Festival' will feature students' digital timelines and personal reflections on media consumption, offering an engaging platform for dialogue. Students will present their collaborative 'future society' projects, showcasing their creative solutions to the issues raised in the book through visual art, written descriptions, and oral presentations. The festival will invite peers, teachers, and family members to participate in discussions, fostering a community-wide exploration of media's impact on communication.
