Products
Throughout the project, students will create a reflective journal documenting their learning journey, insights, and challenges. They will compose original musical pieces that tell a story, using musical elements to highlight emotions and themes. By the end of the project, students will perform their compositions at a 'Musical Storytelling Festival,' where they will also engage in a Q&A session to discuss their creative process and the messages conveyed through their music.
Launch
Kick off the project with a 'Soundtrack of Our Lives' workshop where each student brings in a song that represents a significant moment in their life. They will share the personal story behind their chosen song and discuss how the music conveys specific emotions and themes. This activity will spark curiosity and set the stage for exploring how music can be a powerful storytelling tool.
Exhibition
Students will host a 'Musical Storytelling Festival' where they perform their original compositions live for an audience of family and friends. After each performance, students will engage in a Q&A session, discussing the emotions and themes conveyed through their music and explaining their creative choices. This interactive exhibition allows students to showcase their understanding of music's storytelling power and reflect on their learning journey.
