Purpose

This lesson aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of insurance and its role in financial security and risk management. Products

Students will create a digital presentation showcasing a personalized insurance plan for a fictional character, highlighting their decision-making process. They will also develop a visual representation, such as a mind map or infographic, to reflect on their learning about insurance. Additionally, students will collaboratively analyze a real-world case study and present their findings in a panel discussion, demonstrating their application of knowledge. Finally, they will participate in an 'Insurance Escape Room' activity, solving puzzles to deepen their understanding of insurance types and their impact.

Launch

Begin the lesson with an interactive 'Insurance Escape Room' activity where students work in teams to solve puzzles related to various types of insurance. Each puzzle unlocks clues that lead them to understand the essential questions about insurance and risk management. This engaging experience sets the stage for deeper exploration and encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and application of financial literacy concepts.

Exhibition

Students will showcase their projects in a "Insurance Expo" where they present their personalized insurance plans and case study analyses to peers, teachers, and community members. Each group will set up a booth displaying their digital presentations, mind maps, and infographics, allowing attendees to engage with their work and ask questions. This interactive event will highlight students' understanding of insurance and risk management, offering them a platform to demonstrate their critical thinking and decision-making skills.
