Purpose
The purpose of this project is to cultivate a sense of belonging and pride at Kalani High School by engaging 9th-grade students in a collaborative exploration of diverse intelligences and personal skills. Through hands-on, real-world learning experiences, students will deepen their understanding of teamwork, equality, and conflict resolution, contributing to a stronger school identity. This project aims to celebrate each student's unique contributions, fostering an inclusive environment where every Falcon feels valued and connected to the school community.
Learning goals
Students will explore and identify different types of intelligence using Howard Gardner's theory, enhancing their understanding of diverse strengths within their teams. They will develop personal skills in communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution through hands-on group activities and problem-solving sessions. The project will foster an inclusive environment by encouraging equitable participation and valuing diverse perspectives, ultimately contributing to a stronger sense of belonging and school pride. Students will also reflect on their personal growth and contributions to the school community, reinforcing their role in shaping a positive school identity.
